How long have you loved Led Zeppelin?

How did you get into Led Zeppelin?
My mom was always the Led Head of the family and I can vividly remember the first time she had a “Stairway experience” in my presence. Freaked me the fuck out. But now I get it. Long story short, I was having a really hard time, emotionally and physically, and one day Led Zeppelin (“Kashmir” specifically) popped up on my ipod and it was just like seeing the world in a new way.. like discovering a new color or something. I never looked back after that.
Why is your blog about Led Zeppelin but your username is a Beatles reference?
I also have a Pink Floyd reference on this page, too. Just because I love Led Zeppelin doesn’t mean I love other bands any less. This isn’t a Led Zeppelin blog, though. This is a blog about music that makes me happy and the people that create it. Don’t categorize me because, at the end of the day, the only category I can definitively fall under is “obsessed with music”. The end.
What is your favorite Led Zeppelin song / album?
Honestly, they’re always changing. Right now I’m obsessed with “When The Levee Breaks”… last week it was “Bring It On Home”. The definitive, never-changing, please-play-these-at-my-funeral songs that I love are ‘The Rain Song’ (I post this almost daily, you should know that), ‘In The Light’, and ‘Ten Years Gone’. As far as albums, HOTH and PG might be my favorites… LZ II and the debut album, obviously. And you can’t ignore the light and shade of LZ III. And fucking IV/Zoso… brilliant, I can’t even stand it sometimes. But this is turning into me naming all the albums.. see why I can’t really answer these questions? :)

Chances are you’re referring to this one, which I made because I’m insane and enjoy both wasting time and advertising my love for Led Zeppelin on my chest area… you can buy them here. Not making any profit off of them either.
Why are people calling you Mama Zep?
Well, I’m a little bit older than the average Tumblr user I interact with and it’s just taken on this kind of big sister quality.. It evolved from me sharing the fact that I call my mom Mama Zep (the REAL Mama Zep) and people just started calling me that. I have people I’ve met here that I’m really protective and caring towards and, yeah, I like being a big sister figure and someone who can share stuff about Led Zeppelin too. So, just call me Mama Zep :)
What other bands do you like?
Too many to possibly name without boring you. My last.fm is pretty indicative of my musical tastes.
